Rhode Island’s Best Kept Secret Great Burger is hiding at L’Attitude in Pawtuxet Village.
Chef Ken sniffed out a great burger in Rhode Island! To celebrate our fortunate find, we’re giving away a L’Attitude Burger and Fries to a reader–

- Chef Ken literally sniffed out this delicious burger, with his discerning chef’s nose.
One fine Saturday, after walking in the quiet and historical residential section around Pawtuxet Cove, as we ascended George Street toward Broad, Ken noticed, “Someone is charbroiling a good hamburger.” Always curious, he followed his nose. It led him to the service door of L’Attitude, where we spotted a guy in chef’s clothes taking a break from the kitchen.
“Good Burgers?” my man asked.
“Oh, yeah!” was the obviously sincere answer we were looking for.
So we went around to the front door and discovered this pleasant surprise:
On Saturdays at L’Attitude Modern Eatery, from noon to 4pm, you can have a 1/2 pound burger with any toppings you like, with fries, for the incredible price of $6.
No kidding! (Eat-in only; no to-go orders).
And oh, yeah, they’re good hamburgers! I’ll put it the way my chef husband said it,
You can’t do burgers better than the ones they make at L’Attitude.

$6 on Saturday afternoons– this a burger worth driving out of your way for. It’s beefy, charbroiled, served on a tender bun (not sticky-doughy or dry, and not mushy), with really good fries, cooked your way and topped with whatever your l’il ole heart desires~
I like my burger cooked medium, topped with baby spinach, roasted red peppers, grilled portobello mushrooms and goat cheese. Mayo on the side for dipping my fries, please.
My chef likes his burger cooked medium, topped with bacon, provolone, roasted red peppers, shoe-string french-fried onions and sriracha-aioli sauce.
All burgers come with lettuce, tomato and onion. Not in the mood for a burger? L’Attitude has a terrific bistro menu (sandwiches, pasta, pizza & bruschetta, salads, steak, fish & shellfish) made fresh from quality ingredients, all reasonably priced. And a very nice wine list.

I like bacon and cheese or mushrooms, onions and swiss!
This lovely post popped up in my inbox right as I’m headed out for lunch. So now what do I want to eat? A burger and fries of course! Nothing quite hits the spot like this simple classic. I like mine pretty plain with just cheese, tomato, lettuce, and some ketchup 🙂
Mmmmm …. I’m right with you on the goat’s cheese – sounds wonderful.
Sounds wonderful! If I win, does the prize include my plane ticket and a B&B stay for, say, a week or two? Well…gotta keep the dream alive, right?
It’s dinner time here and I’m starving now… 🙂
Sorry–plane ticket not included. But dreams are still free for the taking.
Now that’s a burger! I was wondering the same thing, Sherri. I’m flexible on the flight time. 🙂
I’m pretty plain when it comes to my taste in burgers. I love cayenne pepper along with a little pepper jack cheese and some grilled vidalia onion…that’s it.
I wish I could afford to send the plane ticket if you any of you faraway friends wins…
That’s sweet…thank you, Tracy.
I love your new photo!!!
Ahh, thanks Tracy, that is really kind of you (hope you knew I was only joking though and would never expect anything like that, I never win anything anyway, well, except for a huge stuffed teddy bear one, so large I had no room for it!!) but thank goodness dreams are freely available for us all 🙂 I like the sound of that very much indeed…
Still, nice to know you are flexible Jill, wouldn’t it be great for us all to plan a visit and meet up with you Tracy? Never say never…
Have a great weekend 🙂
Mmm, the burger looks lovely, sadly I would have too far too travel so I cannot enter the contest. Great name for a restaurant ….
I wish… I wish I could meet you at our local eatery.
and it is not only a great name; it’s a wonderful little place…
Oh, wow, Tracy. I am suddenly so hungry for one of these burgers… great picture and overall descriptions. Why can’t any of your “great eats” be in Colorado Springs?
Why, oh why? One of these days, I hope I will meet you in C.S’s.
Wouldn’t it be loverly?
Can I come?
Yes, Jenny, do!
I liked this so much, the atmosphere and food look fantastic! I am wishing for a delicious burger with the nice chef delivering it to our table! Take care and hope you have a wonderful weekend, Tracy! Smiles, Robin
Smiles to you, too, Robin. Thank you for checking in, and I wish you the loveliest of weekend!
A great burger is a wonderful indulgence at times. It is funny, but we ate at a restaurant with the same name in Marquette, Michigan. A catchy name for a restaurant.
Here’s the million $ question: if you win the raffle, will you buy a plane ticket to come out here and meet us?
Oops, You disqualified yourself by not answering the question “what would you like on your burger.”
You’re so clever!! (If you ever get here, I’ll treat you to a burger at L’attitude. I promise.!)
Looks delicious 🙂
The kind of burger I prefer is a veggie burger, which I understand L’atittude sells. The toppings I like on my veggie burger are lettuce, grilled onions, barbecue sauce, roasted red peppers and Swiss cheese.
I’m with you–
I thinkg they sell a veggie burger, but if they don’t, you could always put those toppings on their fabulous flatbread.
They do have a lot of vegetarian options on their menu…
Thank you very much for this blog it’s nice to discovery new places in our backyard.
You’re welcome Eugenia — it’s amazing how much there is, right HERE. We tend to get in a rut visiting the same places. The blog forces me to think differently, to explore…
