Relaxing Forearm Stretch

Do this right now, it takes less than a minute.
Extend your arm (it doesn’t matter which one), palm up, as if you’re a cop motioning traffic to stop.

Halt!

With your other hand, pull your fingers toward yourself until you feel a gentle stretch on the under side of your forearm. Hold for 10 seconds (but don’t hold your breath!) Don’t over stretch. Don’t look at my photo to measure how far to stretch. I’ve been doing this for years and am fairly flexible. Listen to your body.
Now, let your hand flop downward from your wrist (like an 18th-century lady expecting an inferior to kiss her hand, and doesn’t make it easy on him–she makes him stoop lower).

No, you may not kiss my hand!

Grasp your fingers with your other hand and gently pull to stretch your upper forearm. Hold for 10 seconds. Keep breathing!
Repeat on the other side. If you don’t balance the stretch, the other side of your body will feel neglected.
Treat your hard-working forearms to this luxury frequently. Every day is not too indulgent, and it won’t cost you a thing.
As an extra-special luxury, massage a little lotion or oil onto your forearms and hands now and then. And then, pass on the kindness–give a five-minute arm/hand massage to someone special.
See, the world is a fine place to be today!
